Job Summary
The asset management practice group offers a unique, fully-integrated and dedicated team of 20+ funds attorneys, with 5 to 20 years of experience, who focus solely on specialized fund investment transactions on behalf of the firm’s investor client base. Funds attorneys work 100% remotely and are compensated on an hourly basis for billable work. The asset management practice group is interested in attorneys with experience in asset management, private equity transactional work, or anyone interested in being retooled into an asset management lawyer. Current asset management funds attorneys come from a range of backgrounds, including across asset management, tax, private equity transactions, securities, and litigation, among others.
Funds Attorneys do not receive benefits through the firm.
Required Skills/Abilities
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school or equivalent
- Bar admissions in the state where we have a Ropes & Gray office (located physically in that state is not required).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
