Paralegal Roles
Why Choose Us
Define Your Journey
We recognize that every paralegal candidate is unique, so we offer a choice of two paths to allow everyone to build a career that best suits their interests and aspirations.
Program Paralegals (requires a two-year commitment)
Our specialized two-year entry-level program is designed for recent college graduates considering law school. The program gives recruits the opportunity to work within our corporate or litigation practice areas, and offers them personalized training and firsthand access to life at a law firm before they continue their education.
Career Paralegals
Our tiered career path is designed for those interested in pursuing paralegal work for the long term. Whether you’re an entry-level paralegal starting your career or a seasoned paralegal with practice area specialization, you’ll receive personalized and targeted training, as well as ample opportunities for professional development and growth.
What we are looking for
Within our corporate and litigation groups, we have a tiered paralegal career path, from entry level to paralegal specialist. The career path provides a number of growth opportunities, including targeted professional development and promotion opportunities based on skill development, experience and expertise.
Our corporate and litigation practice groups also offer a specialized two-year entry level program designed for recent graduates who want to experience working in a law firm before attending law school.
Training Experience
During your first days and weeks at the firm, you’ll receive subject matter overviews and task-specific instructions through a combination of classroom-based learning, self-paced tutorials and mentorship initiatives. You’ll also engage in hands-on, practical exercises that mirror the real-life assignments paralegals complete on a daily basis. The training material will be developed and directed by experienced paralegals in your group, allowing you to learn and seek feedback in a supportive setting.
The paralegal program includes extensive training in practice-specific skills, as well as in document management, effective oral and written communication, time management, project execution, and organization. Whether you’re joining as an entry-level paralegal in your first professional role, or joining us with many years of experience, we’ll provide a solid foundation of knowledge throughout your tenure with the firm.
Recognizing that learning and growth often come from peers and professional colleagues, the paralegal department fosters the development of mentoring relationships and collegiality among employees. New paralegals are paired with a mentor in their practice area, while regular roundtable discussions and group meetings foster the exchange of information concerning trends, practices and procedures relevant to particular fields within the paralegal group.
