Job Summary
The Litigation & Enforcement practice group at Ropes & Gray is currently seeking an experienced, mid-level litigation associate to join our team in the San Francisco office.
Duties/Responsibilities
An associate in this role must have a minimum of four years of sophisticated legal experience in all aspects of complex commercial and class action litigation, corporate governance and shareholder suits, deal-related litigation, and other complex disputes in order to represent public corporations, financial services and investment management firms, and private equity clients in a variety of state and federal jurisdictions.
Required Skills/Abilities
Candidates must have four to six years of comparable litigation experience and must currently work at a large law firm, with a proven ability to:
- manage cases;
- handle complex litigation matters;
- draft and prepare litigation documents;
- conduct legal research and writing analysis; and
- mentor junior associates.
Candidates should also possess a teamwork mentality in order to collaborate with partners and associates of varied seniorities. Impressive academic credentials and strong writing, analytical and verbal communication skills are required. Admission, in good standing, to practice in the state of California is also required.
Compensation
The anticipated pay range for this position is $310,000 - $390,000, which represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus. For compensation information, please click here.
